Experience
After graduating from St. John’s, I embarked on 14-year career as a business and technology communications professional, leading teams in producing a variety of content, including website material, training manuals and tutorials, internal communications, software manuals, online help, marketing collateral, press releases, and product packaging. In 2009, I decided to follow my true passion and enter the teaching profession where I have taught high school English for the last seven years. During the last four years, I have also tutored students in preparation for the English sections of the SAT, ACT and PSAT standardized tests, helping many of these students to dramatically increase their scores. I have also assisted students with general instruction in reading, writing and vocabulary, as well as providing guidance on college and other program admissions letters. As part of my successful approach to instruction, I first make it a point to get to know the student, including his or her interests, strengths and weaknesses, so that I can customize a program that can comfortably and effectively satisfy his or her needs. I am very personable and greatly enjoy one-to one instructional interaction, taking great strides to provide my students with an enjoyable learning experience.
