Experience
With over twenty years of experience teaching, I am able to bring a lot to a student that comes to me for tutoring. I have a very strong educational background, having a master's degree in Literary Translation and a master's degree in French Studies, as well as a bachelor's degree in Languages and Literature. My undergrad degree and one of my master's degrees were received while I was in school at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazon and the Graduate Program of Translation at the University of Puerto Rico. I also hold several certifications and licenses in education, with a focus on languages and teaching those with learning disabilities. With this kind of background, I feel very comfortable and confident in my abilities to be a knowledgeable and effective teacher to any student. I am able to tutor in French and Spanish from basic levels on up through French 4 and Spanish 4. In addition to my experience working with younger students, I also have experience working with college-level students at Seton Hall University and the College of Saint Elizabeth.When I am not teaching, I enjoy other pastimes such as reading, cooking, gardening, and being an active member of my local community.
